The hotel U Pava 'At the Peacock' is situated nearby the Charles bridge - just a few steps from a cozy corner of old Prague, on the Kampa Island. The street was named after the Lusatioan seminar, wich was constructed in the years 1726-1728 by K. I. Diezenhoffer. The hotel U Pava has been completely renovated in 1991. The hotel succeeded in saving its historical character of the building and creating a luxurious place with peaceful historical atmosphere for the hotel guests. The ancient atmosphere is increased by furniture made from dark nutwood, by crystal chandeliers and many valuable original works of art.

During year 2000 the U Pava hotel underwent an ambitious expansion, another 16 new guest rooms were added more than doubling the previous capacity as well as a new restaurant, sauna and reception area. The main priority being to maintain the feel, atmosphere and style of the original hotel whilst improving guest facilities and raising the overall standards.
