There are places which have dignity and elegance of the past together with beauty, there are cities where the thousand-year old European culture is as routine and natural as life itself. Prague is such a city. And in these cities, as in Prague, there are at times additional smaller places, for example miniature locations, which, it seems, in a crystal or in a fragment, tell the whole story of the greatness and charm of the entire place. Everyone: the native, the inhabitant, the expert an connoisseur, the visitor from the country or from foreign lands, who all wander through the fascinating world of the city of Prague, sooner or later reach such a place. Whether we wander from the Old Town along the Charles Bridge or whether we are approaching from the other side along the Mostecka Street, from the Kampa labyrinth, from the Maltézské Square, we all come to a halt at the minute Drazicky Square. As though all roads were running into one another – tributaries of all those individual pilgrims and groups. Today they are sealed and shaped by long years and a variety of styles, by the imagination and aspirations of generations of proprietors, and are a type of small enclave of the heart of the city.

In the shade of the bridge tower, roughly in the place where there was an ancient ford and later a Gothic bridge, in the locality of the bishops yard, founded at the end of the 12th century and opposite the Maltese Order Convent. This is an ideal place for a calm sifting of one’s impressions, a place to relax gently after the many encounters and events, a place to rest and to unwind one’s senses. The genius of the place and the genius of centuries have blessed this place. In the corner of this square we have prepared the last thing you might still be lacking. A place of retreat for the visitor, a service for the guest who – as we know – is the messenger of joy. What has been said earlier pays tribute to the city and the place, yet in no way do we intend to continue along these lines. The judgement and appreciation of our endeavour is entirely up to you. Luxurious accommodation, 2 suites, 9 double rooms, 1 single room. All rooms have en suite bathroom and toilet, satellite TV, minibar, telephone, Internet connections, and telefax if required.

The hotel Pod Vezi has its own restaurant, which seats 60 guests. It is situated on the ground floor and divided into two sections. The first section faces the Mostecka street with the view of the Charles Bridge and the second part is situated in a closed atrium. According to an archaeological research, the private room for 10 people in the basement is probably the only part of the building that has been preserved from the 12th century. The restaurant offers a selection of Czech and international cuisine. Special menus based on customer requirements can be prepared for groups. Pilsner Urquell beer is available on draught. Besides the hotel’s Pod Vezi normal services, we can offer a relaxing massage in your room, a hairdresser and a barber, as well as a manicure, including nail extensions. Secretarial services, guides and cars are available for both groups and individuals. The hotel has its own guarded parking lot, round-the-clock security service and taxi service. There is a bureau de change at the reception.
