First references to this Meteor Plaza hotel Prague come from the year 1307. Unfortunately, the older informations have not been saved, because of fire. This house was called „White Lion” and was known as a retreat for the travelers, who came to The Old City in the late evenings hours without the possibility to enter the city through the City Gate (in the nowadays called The Powder Gate). This Gate used to be closed every day at dusk. In the 17th century, even the son of the empress Marie Terezie, the emperor Josef II spend a night here. In honor of him the hotel was re-named to : The City Vienna. This Meteor Plaza hotel which became well-known and much frequented spot in the 19th century, offers 88 comfortable rooms at the present.

The Hotel Meteor Plaza Prague is situated directly in the center of Prague near The Palace Hibernia, Powder Gate and The Municipal House. You can reach Wenceslav Square, The Old Town Square or other places of interest on foot within several minutes. You can easily get to the hotel by your own car and you have the possibility to park in the hotel garage also.

The Meteor Plaza hotel Prague offers 88 comfortable rooms and suites. Rooms are equipped with mini-bar, bath, shower / WC, hairdryer, rooms and facilities for disabled guests, safe-deposit boxes, radio, television with satellite hookup, direct-dial telephones. Guest room bath: private shower or tub and toilet, built-in hairdryer, electric shaver points, convenient mirror. Guest room: safe entrance door (card key activated lock device), TV set with cable TV programs and movie channels.

The hotel Meteor Plaza wine bar, where you can admire arched ceilings from the 14th century, is situated in the subterranean spaces of the hotel.
